Lighthouse Leadership
President and CEO
John Ziraldo is CEO/President of Lighthouse of Oakland County, one of the largest human service agencies in Oakland County. He has a diverse background in nonprofit administration, grant writing and fundraising.
Prior to working at Lighthouse, John was the Director of Programs at The Guidance Center, served as the Executive Director at The Thompson-McCully Foundation, and was a Senior Program Officer at The Skillman Foundation. His accomplishments include securing expanded and ongoing funding for several programs including the creation of Head/Start Community Day Care partnerships in Taylor, MI, along with the development and implementation of initiatives to help reform the Detroit Public Schools.
Mr. Ziraldo also spent a year in China teaching English and lecturing on American life and culture. He is currently a Trustee with Crossroads of Michigan, Inc., sits on the board of New Detroit Inc. and is a member of the Michigan Department of Human Services Workforce Action Network. John holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan.
Lighthouse Community Development - Executive Director
Judith W. Robinson who previously was the senior deputy director of Fannie Mae Michigan Community Business Center, heads up the Lighthouse Community Development (LCD) subsidiary of Lighthouse. Robinson received a bachelor of arts from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of Leadership Detroit. She has received several accolades for her involvement in community revitalization including two Spirit of Detroit Awards.
Lighthouse PATH - Executive Director
Sharman Davenport is the Executive Director of Lighthouse PATH. Dr. Davenport has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University. She oversees an empowerment program for homeless women with children and pregnant or parenting teen mothers that provide transitional housing, case management, childcare, Montessori preschool and kindergarten programs.
Lighthouse Emergency Services - Executive Director
Tom Stowell became the Executive Director for Lighthouse Emergency Services in April of 2007 after serving as Chief Operations Officer for Lighthouse for nearly eighteen years. Mr. Stowell obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Michigan State University and is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations for Lighthouse Emergency Services. Major responsibilities include staff supervision, grant writing, fund raising, financial oversight, and representing Lighthouse Emergency Services to the general public.

Richard A. Shapack Chair
As Of Counsel with the law firm of Butzel Long, P.C. in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, his practice is concentrated in tax, real estate and business planning. Mr. Shapack is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Harvard University Graduate School of Business and Catholic University Columbus School of Law. He is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel, a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is certified by the Florida Bar as a Board Certified Tax Lawyer. In 2006, he was named in the first listing of Michigan Super-Lawyers and has been named again in each subsequent year. He serves on the BNA Tax Management Real Estate Advisory Board and has served on the Council for the Michigan Bar Probate and Estate Planning Section and the Harvard Business School Alumni Association Board of Directors.
He spent eleven years on active duty in the Navy serving on nuclear submarines and at the Navy Strategic Systems Project Office. In addition to serving as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Lighthouse of Oakland County, he is President of the Harvard Business School Club of Michigan; General Counsel to and a past President of the Birmingham Rotary Club; a past President of the Metropolitan Detroit Council of the Navy League and a member of the Professional Advisory Board for the Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan. He is and has been involved in the Southeast Michigan Non-Profit Leadership Collaborative, Bar Ilan University Board of Advisors and other charitable activities. |
